There are many mistakes that can cost you your customers. Take an action on these:

1.      First impression is the last impression: If your website takes time to load, if there is an unnecessary pop up ad or if a post on social media goes wrong, all these factors can

affect your impression and will make you lose your followers/customers. Instead, make them feel welcomed and create a lasting impression!

2.      Not paying attention to the customer’s queries: By not answering back and not responding to the queries seriously will take a toll on your company’s reputation. If a customer has raised a query, he is 50% into your product, do not make a mistake of ignoring the customer.

3.      When you don’t acknowledge your customers: Its always pleasing to say Thank You and Sorry! Appreciate and acknowledge whenever it’s necessary, It gives the customers a sense of importance and this will connect your brand to your customer.

4.      Not committing to what you say: If you have promised your customers something, make sure you stick to your commitments. If not then not only are you going to lose the customer but also their trust and loyalty. Once the trust breaks, it’s difficult to win back the customer. You don’t want that! If things don’t happen as you promised, be kind and apologize to everyone personally. This increases brand loyalty.

6.      Taking positive feedback only and ignoring negative feedback: Never ignore your negative feedback, apologize and take respective action instantly. Turning a negative feedback into a positive one later on will win customers!

7.      Not being approachable: If a customer needs you, make sure you are available. If not, suggest them where to contact you. Never make a customer look hard to reach you, this will make them lose interest and there are high chances of them switching to other means only because of this mistake.

8.      Trying to prove you’re right all the time: Never argue, even if you are right, Apologize and explain to them in a better way. If this happens often, always be humble and explain to your customers. Proving right all the time will affect the brand and you don’t want that.

Keep your eyes open to these mistakes; else your customers won’t come back.

9 highly effective Blogging Tips for Branding

Blogging is an art of writing and making a journal of your opinions tips and experiences. So,Why not do it better?
Unknowingly a good blog will uplift your brand’s value. It’s an amalgamation of content, social media marketing and SEO. One of the best ways to keep in touch with your clients informatively.

Here’s how you can make a difference to your blog in no time.

1.      Take your content to the right people: Target your blog to the right people; else there are high chances of your blog to be lost to the wrong audience in this ocean of social media.

2.      Maintain your originality: It’s easy to copy, but difficult to be original. There is nothing wrong in getting inspired, but readers read original content more than revamped content and blog readers do have a  knack to know what is original and what is not.

3.      Differences in opinions may cause controversies, but don’t be afraid: Controversy sells. We all know that, if there are a lot of readers differing to your opinion, acknowledge their opinions. Don’t be afraid.

4.      Take advantage of social media platforms:Post it on all platforms which will help you reach the right audience. Boosting your posts according to the interests and demographics  will help you achieve your purpose.

5.      Use long keywords to be easily found: Taper the focus of search-engine’s search through the use of terms and phrases largely referred to as long keywords. Not many people will make use of these long words, but people who do, will notice your blog on the first page itself.  Wouldn’t you want to be there anyway?

6.      Use enough pictures: Make it interesting, move from boring content to Multimedia! Use videos, gifs and pictures to inform and educate creatively.

7.      Know when you’re posting: Timings and days are important. Most prefer to post on Mondays and Thursdays during 9am-12pm.  To be more accurate, Google analytics will help you better in determining the right timing and days.

8.      Track your results: Don’t leave it once you have posted the blog. Keep a track and analyze your performance on weekly basis as this will help you strategize your next blog.

9.      Be patient: Success isn’t going to kiss your feet overnight. Many give up on blogging too early because they don’t see immediate results. If they kept producing content and promoted their blog, they would’ve eventually achieved their goal.

For a blog to work as an integral part of your content marketing program, you must create strong information your target audience seeks and needs. Do it smartly!

5 reasons why your customers are not converting on your website!

Your website symbolizes your business. That’s what the majority of your customers/audiences know about your business. What they experience on your website is directly proportional to their decisions whether to purchase (or not) your products & services. Hence one mustn’t take a website, web visuals very casually. Every design should be built in a way so as to make the experience a comfortable one and as a result, answer an enquirer’s questions.
A well-made website organically raises a company's business and strengthens its branding.

Here’s why your website isn’t selling and we’ll tell you how to fix them:

1.       Poor Navigation :
Too many links can annoy your audience. When something that your audience is looking for is not easily found, they will most likely click on the little ‘x’ button and close the window.

How to fix it:
Firstly, you need to improve your navigational bar by reviewing the wording on the menu. Check if it’s simple, if it’s conveying your message and if it’s leading to whatever you’re audience might be searching for.

2.       Poor landing page design:
Your landing page can make or break a person’s first impression about your brand. It can determine how your website is performing.

How to fix it:
Focus on the right content and right imagery. Break up your content into short sentences or testimonials so that it’s easier for people to take an instant decision. Keep it simple.
Consider taking a video to explain your products and services rather than stock images which will not convey your message and will take up more space than required.

3.       Extremely flashy website:
If your website is designed in flash completely, you are missing out on a lot of clients. It’s not necessary that all clients have flash enabled browsers and some mobile devices do not support flash. One needs to be aware that flash eventually will be weakened which will leave your website hanging and will be of no use.

How to fix it:
HTML5 is the way! One can enjoy superior accessibility. It has better audio and video support and has less hassle to design with cleaner coding.

4.       If your website is not responsive:
From this year, Google is going to push down the unresponsive sites and is going to boost websites which are more mobile friendly. It’s proven that mobile friendly sites receive lesser bounce rates and higher conversion rates.

 How to fix it:
There are plenty of sites which help you create mobile friendly websites. The only way to fix this is to make it a mobile-friendly website. Connect with us and we’ll help you with it better.

5.       No time to test your website :
What’s the point if after spending so much on design and content; you still aren’t sure and feel something is not good enough?

How to fix it :
TEST it right away. If you want high conversion rates, have an A/B testing done. Or split testing, i.e. technique employed to compare different variations of your web pages against each other to find out which one produces the best results.

There is always room to improve and for that you need to have a critical eye towards the details.

Write your observations or ask your friends/partners to list what they like and dislike and make necessary changes.

Sure shot ways to increase your shares on Facebook!

Content marketing is made valuable with social media marketing and search engine optimization.

Social media plays a big role in distributing that content, for example sites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google + are platforms which allow good content to become viral. In other words, virtual version of word of mouth marketing.

We often are under this misconception that higher the likes, higher is the engagement. No, it’s a myth. Facebook is pretty smart, we all know that. Engagement is not made equal. There is different weight-age for likes, comments and shares.

Facebook’s News feed algorithm places a different weight on likes, comments and shares where  shares are given the highest weight and likes the least.  Yes! Say goodbye to your misconception.
Let’s break it down for you.

The real meaning of likes, comments and shares.

Likes: It is just a social media gesture on Facebook!

Comments: It has a higher weight age than likes and is more like portraying your opinion on the post.

Shares: It is like a cherry on the cake, you want everyone to know and that’s huge in terms of exposure, recommendation and word of mouth. Hence, Facebook assigns highest weight-age to shares.

Here’s how to boost shares on Facebook organically!

1.      Post stories that make you go” aww, laugh or cry or shock you”: Unless they bring out any emotion, it is not going to work. Post some crazy content to make people notice.

2.      Analyze your top ten posts from insights: Follow the insights well and see if there’s any particular post that is being shared regularly, hit the target audience with the similar kind of posts and see the response!

3.      Understand the peak time of your page: Timings play a major role and you wouldn’t want to miss it. Second best time according to the insights works wonders as you won’t get lost in the ocean of other posts.

1.      Connect to current events: If you post about something which was done 2 months ago, nobody would be interested to even read. Shoot the current affairs and see an increase on your shares.

2.      Include a call to action. : Guide people and make them do what you are trying to achieve. Do not impose on them but a subtle message like “I bet you will share this” might create the greatest exposure for your page/profile.

Growing the number of social shares is not something that will “just happen instantly”. It’s a time taking process and with good usage of images it’s going to work really well!

TURN VISITORS INTO BUYERS

A new form of display advertisement has taken the whole marketing and advertising industry by storm and that’s called “Re-targeting”.

If you are new to this concept, let me introduce you to it:

Ever wondered what happened to all those customers who paid a visit to your website and never completed the desired action? There could be many reasons for them to switch to another website, but whatever the reason is they’ve left your channel and the impression you made has been quickly forgotten. With this Re-targeting facility you have that golden chance to make second, third impression as well.

Re-targeting has the ability to target display ads to consumers who have previously been to your site and haven’t completed a desired action. It is the practice based on the user’s previous online activity.

How Re-targeting helps your brand:

1.      Builds brand recall: Keep them warm with your re-targeting ads while keeping building recognition.

2.      Another chance to make an impression: It’s a second chance that you have, to create an impression on your prospects. They might have gotten distracted by some phone call or power cut, it can be anything. You can re-target this prospect with additional information about the various features of your offering which they would’ve missed.

3.      Cross-promotion opportunities: After a visitor turns into a buyer, you can re-target the same customer with upgraded products, new products and new offers.

4.      Re-targeting creates another point of contact: If your prospect already has contacted you in some way or the other, business card, mail, re-targeting ads provides you another point of contact with your brand.

5.      Choosing your audience: With regular display ads you can’t control your audience, but with re-targeting ads you have complete control. These people are then targeted only with very specific messages relating back to the site/page they visited previously.

6.      Mailing and updating your customers: If you have a good database or email ids of client, you can re-target them with email (campaigns) and encourage them to take the certain action for example discounts or upgrading software’s, reminders etc.

Re-targeting collectively with many other marketing mediums will make a comprehensive strategy       which in return will give your brand an incredible lift and will increase your conversion rates.

What is Google’s phantom update and how to deal with it!

Google has confirmed that it is live and it’s simply called the Quality Update, which turns out to be as distantly threatening as it sounds. The new update is paying attention to rooting out irrelevant “How to” websites.

On April 21, Google unleashed its update on the online world. However, most businesses and entrepreneurs were in the loop and had sufficient time to react and take appropriate measures.
You must realize that Google will be updating its algorithm on a regular basis to give out more quality content to Google searchers. This isn't really the first time Google has done this update! People were so anxious of this update that they began referring to as the “Phantom” update.

Here’s statistic graph on the sites that have been the most affected:

What Google expects from you as a content creator:
  1. Duplicate content and unnecessary irrelevant articles are a big No-No.
  2. Avoid creating  thin content.
  3. Give utmost importance to user experience. For example, too many ads on your site can create a negative visitor experience and have an undesired impact on your rankings.
  4. Your content should be extremely trustworthy. Visitors that land on your site should feel comfortable giving you their credit card information.
  5. Your articles should be free of spelling and errors.
  6. Are you determined to give your target users an in-depth look into the subject matter?

Among the biggest winners was information source : Quora. This is probable due to its high content quality standards – the site has very strict guidelines for user-supplied answers to questions.

If your low quality content has been affected, it's time for a new plan or strategy. Quality signals aren't anything new, but you can be rest assured that Google is only going to clamp down on low-grade content with greater force in times to come.

In the end, It’s all about quality –Don’t settle for anything less!

Grave mistakes Aspirants make on LinkedIn

Today, LinkedIn is the No. 1 social media platform for all the professionals with most recruiters all around the world go through the aspirant’s LinkedIn profile before recruiting them. Statistics show that almost 83% of all professionals are on LinkedIn. However, not all professionals seem to be using this platform rightly.

Here are 8 mistakes one tends to ignore often:

1.      Unethical Photo: One cannot have a very glamorous picture or an appropriate party picture as their dp. Group photos are a big NO-NO. It seems unprofessional and has high chances of being ignored by the recruiters.

2.      Degree as Experience: A very common mistake, your graduation, studies cannot be termed as “work experience”. Only job details fit in the category and degree comes under education.

3.      Zero recommendations and endorsements: It’s a tough task but having no recommendations will make it difficult for the recruiter to know you from a third party perspective. Endorsements always show your strengths from people’s perspective and thus, having them proves beneficial.

4.      Not following any companies/groups: Not joining any will leave you with no ideas and connections. Joining and following companies and groups keeps you updated with what’s going on in the industry you’re interested in, Active participation will lead to new networks. No point being on LinkedIn and not following groups/companies.

5.      Grammatical errors: Nothing can go worse than a silly grammatical error. One of the most stringent aspect recruiter’s checks for. You don’t want them to lose out on you because of your one silly mistake. Your profile and summary needs to be written in the same tense.

6.      Outdated profile:  Another noticeable mistake people make are having profiles with the heading “Working at“refers to the company they have worked at earlier. Make sure that you keep updating your profile, to what you are doing presently.

7.      Spamming connections: Do not spam and keep sending requests to random people you don’t really know anything about. Its alright to connect but spamming every time they refuse to accept is a big NO! Don’t look desperate on LinkedIn.

8.      Publishing irrelevant posts: If you are in interested in a particular field and you end up publishing posts about your favourite actors doesn’t make sense. Be careful about what you are publishing as a lot can be understood with your posts.

If you are making any of the above mistakes, it’s never too late to make amends! ;)
